Now that, dear friend, is "Boiled egg surprise!!" Really now, who wouldn't want a shrink-wrapped-sausage-log of boiled egg? I'm telling you, this pic just encapsulates the spirit of the shockingly fearless and occasionally hilarious inventiveness of the Japanese. I bet they even made a reeeeeeally long egg cutter to cut the thing.

Have you tasted them? I miss Japan I try to explain to people, how fearless they are when it comes to food. The fact that there is nothing they won't consider doing, or eating. I think all chefs should be made to spend a year there just to blow their minds.
That's...disgusting. MUTANT EGG. Already boiled egg tastes pretty close to "lurchy" as it gets...it's sort of a feat to train my mind that it's not a tasteless, slimily-textured substance from an animal's privates. But...this...
